About Me

Hi, I’m Billie Lambert-Stockman. I graduated from Flinders University with a BCA Screen Production. I started my career working as an editor at Channel 7 News Adelaide. There, I learnt to work with producers and journalists to create meaningful stories through editing.

After my time at Channel 7, I started working as the in-house editor at Stepney Studios where I edited corporate videos, TVC's with agencies like Showpony and Kwpx, documentaries, social media ads and all manner of website and YouTube videos.

I was also DIT for the AFL Gather Round in 2023, helping with data wrangling. At Stepney Studios I also learnt to colour grade for corporate video.

I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of some interesting projects including assistant editing for the SAFC-supported Documentary film Marungka Tjalatjunu (Dipped in Black). The film has gone on to be seen at many prestigious film festivals all over the world.

I have also worked in TV in larger teams of editors. I now edit short films in whatever spare time I have and excitingly, my team from Adelaide came 1st in South Australia and 3rd place Worldwide for the 48hr Film Challenge this year in Seattle, which then saw our film go to the Marché du Film's Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival in 2025.

Last year I was also a contracted feature film assistant editor at KOJO working under editor Sofi Marshall. Over the years, I've worked across a range of formats including Digital, Super 8, 16mm and 35mm. I hope to continue to work on projects with meaning.
