About Me
I’m Billie Lambert-Stockman and I’m a film and video editor working in Sydney. I graduated with a BCA Screen Production from Flinders University. I started my career as an editor at Channel 7 News Adelaide. There, I learnt to work with producers and journalists to create meaningful stories through editing.
Then I started working as the in-house editor at Stepney Studios where I edited corporate videos, TVC’s with agencies like Showpony and Kwpx, documentaries, social media ads and all manner of website and YouTube videos. There, I also learnt how to colour grade and sound design for corporate video.
I’ve worked as an assistant editor at KOJO on the feature film ‘Wicker’ and as an assistant editor at ITV Studios Sydney on Love Island, The Voice, Alone and SHARK! and I’ve worked as a video editor at Channel 7 News and Stepney Studios. I am proficient with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve. I’ve worked across various formats from digital to 8mm, 16mm and 35mm film as well.
Over the years, I’ve worked across a range of formats including Digital, Super 8, 16mm and 35mm.
I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of some interesting projects including assistant editing for the SAFC-supported Documentary film Marungka Tjalatjunu (Dipped in Black). The film has since been shown at many film festivals world-wide.
I also edit short films. My team from South Australia came 3rd Place Best Film Worldwide for the 48hr Film Challenge in 2024 in Seattle. This then saw our film go to the Marché du Film’s Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival in 2025.
